Throughout history, it has been noted that the children of God have always set the pace for the world to follow. It may amaze you to know that ninety nine percent of the notable and historic scientists and inventors were directly connected to God. 
 
Scientists like Robert Boyle postulated the Boyle’s law (Gas law). Nicolaus Copernicus; the propounder of the heliocentric theory (an astronomical model that states that the sun is positioned at the centre of the universe, rather than the earth), was a senior member of the clergy (Prebendary) in a catholic cathedral. Michael Faraday, who postulated the Faraday’s law of electromagnetism, was a child of God. Isaac Newton, the founder of classical mechanics and regarded as a father of physics and mathematics, wrote more on homiletics (the art of sermon preparation) than on physics. Wallace E. Johnson, the founder of the Holiday Inn that is thriving around the world was a Christian. He employed about one hundred and ten thousand people before he died.

God’s design for His children is to make landmark exploits on earth; His purpose is to bring us to the point where we do things that have never been done before in our generation and in the history of the world at large.

A typical example of this kingdom landmark exploit is the construction of the Lord’s Garden Auditorium (Dunamis permanent site) that is under construction which the LORD is building for Himself. I am yet to know the number of church structures worldwide that are of that size. The Gallery alone measures twenty thousand square metres; which is the equivalence of two hectares. And twenty thousand square metres of space can accommodate a minimum of forty thousand people. So, imagine only the gallery of the auditorium accommodating forty thousand people! Humongous!

It is God’s plan for His children to carry out humongous projects to His Glory. Throughout history, the children of God have always set the pace for the world to follow.

It may amaze you to know that ninety nine percent of the notable historic scientists we have ever heard of or read about were directly connected to God.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer is very important when starting a venture in life.

In our world today, many people do many things without involving God. They embark on serious life decisions; the decision to start a business, ministry or marry someone without prayer or Divine involvement. That is the pathway to disaster.

Before I stepped into ministry, I had to seek the Face of God in prayer and fasting. Also, when I wanted to get married, I prayed to know the person and also prayed to know the date of the wedding.

Prayer is very important when starting a venture in life.

For instance, when you are about to begin a marriage process, you need to pray, “Lord, I do not want to go into this marriage by myself, I invite You to go with me into this marriage.” In the same manner, when you are about to start a new business, you have to pray: “O God, I do not want to start this business all by myself, I want You in it.” In each instance, you invoke the Presence of God.

Beloved, through prayer you connect your marriage and business with His Presence. Therefore, pray before you embark on any venture in life.

The Bible is filled with the revelation of God’s purpose for our existence on the earth. Anyone who does not know how to study God's Word diligently is yet to know why he is alive.

Our anchor Scripture clearly defines the reason God created you. We understand that you exist as a light-bearer and a road-pointer for the ungodly in your generation.

One of the duties of the child of God is to show the world how to work. We are to show the people of the world how to be employers and employees because we are the light of the world and a city set on the hill which cannot be hid.

We are expected to show the world how to serve; we are expected to be pace-setters and not pace-keepers.

The challenge is that many children of God are being colonized by their unbelieving colleagues. This is not proper!

People should see a Daniel and know what faithfulness at duty means. They should see a Joseph and know what it means to be a servant of God in the work place. In the same manner, people should see you and learn a positive principle from your life.

The simple answer is, there is no flight without a fight. For instance, before an aircraft can take off, it engages in a fight; it fights the wind, gravity and its weight in order to take off. 
 
God’s servant, Bishop Oyedepo once said that there is no rise without a price. If you want to be at the top position in life, there is a price to get there. I have discovered that nothing can be possessed until it is pursued. 
 
Many children of God are not ready to pay the price for greatness; this is why even though they are destined to be great, they still remain in the low positions of life. 
 
There are no spiritual provisions without human conditions.

One significant essence of prayer is that it establishes the atmosphere of God’s Presence around a man’s life. 
 
God’s Presence is needed to achieve every quantifiable progress in life.
 
Prayer connects a man's spirit with the Spirit of God. When the spirit of man becomes united with the Spirit of God in the place of prayer, an atmosphere is created, and that atmosphere is called the Presence of God or the atmosphere of His presence.

IMPACTING YOUR GENERATION FOR GOD

The children of God are designed and destined by God to be illuminators of their generation. That is, you are created to exist as a light bearer, a road pointer, an eye opener, a front liner, a change agent, a history maker and a world shaker in your generation.
 
In order to impact your generation for God, you must carry the light that dissipates darkness; you must show people the right path to follow. 
 
As a child of God, the world is meant to be discipled by your character, results and impact.  
 
Recently, I went to the construction site of our on-going church building and one of the site engineers told me of someone who was not a Christian that visited the site.  The visitor wanted the engineer to execute a project for him but the engineer told him that he was busy. 
 
The interesting thing is, the engineer said that the man was utterly amazed at the sight of the humongous constructions and exclaimed, “So, this kind of construction is possible!” He had not repented, but when he saw excellence at the site, he was moved despite his religion.
 
The truth is, excellence is an answer to prejudice and excellence also tackles religiosity.

b) Studying the Exploits of Bible Characters:
In order to be impactful in life, take notice of biblical exploits done by exemplary characters. Reading the exploits of people like Elijah who raised the dead, Joshua who commanded the sun and the moon to stand still, and the shadow of Peter that healed the sick, will automatically spark a fire in your spirit.

c) Deep Divine Encounters:
A deep encounter with God will make your life count on earth. Paul encountered God on his way to Damascus and his life changed.

God shall give you a life-changing encounter in Jesus’ Name.

The Bible says that you are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). Being the light of the world as a Christian implies that everybody is watching what you do. That is why anytime you misbehave by coming late to work, someone may say “He comes late to work, yet he calls himself a Christian”.

As a Christian, you represent the King of kings in character, conduct, action and output or performance at the workplace.

Therefore, your responsibility is to ensure that you are not a reproach or a burden to God in the eyes of your employer or contemporaries by your character, conduct and performance of duty.

SCRIPTURE: Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. – James 5:17.

Prayer, the flow of communication between man and God proceeding from a healthy and lively relationship, is vital in the life of every child of God; it is a basic requirement if one must stand to fulfil God’s purpose for one’s life.

Prayer is much more than asking and receiving from God.

There are many reasons prayer is necessary besides casting our cares and worries upon God.

We shall consider one important necessity of prayer:
Prayer connects man with God’s Presence.
Prayer is a basic necessity because it establishes a contact between man and God. It fills a person’s life with the Presence of God. In Exodus 33:15, Moses said, “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” What Moses was saying in essence is: “I have seen all manner of wonders but I need Your Presence. If Your Presence does not go with us, there is no need to move us from here.”

This tangible, palpable and feelable Presence of God is connected by prayer.

Therefore, endeavour to give yourself to the life of prayer in order to connect God’s presence.  Make communion with God a necessity in your life.

Remember this: Prayer fills a person’s life with the Presence of God.

THE SECRET OF GODLY LIVING

Now, how does God purify us?
It is by the instrumentality of His Word. The Word of God communicates Godliness. Contact with the Word of God communicates Godliness or godlikeness or what you might call Divine nature and character. Every time you read the Bible conscientiously, you will come in contact with the Mind-set of God, the way God thinks; and you will know that action is a product of thought.

Actually, action is a delayed thought. So, from the Bible, you encounter the Mind-set of God; from this Bible, you also encounter the lifestyle of God, that is, how God does things. From this Bible, you encounter what God desires and dislikes from His children.

You know, what you see determines what you seize. As you encounter the holiness of God from His Word, you shall attain Godliness in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER - A NON-DELEGABLE RESPONSIBILITY

Prayer is a critical necessity in the journey of life and destiny. Every serious-minded Christian is a praying Christian. 
 
However, many people delegate prayers to someone else to do for them. They abdicate their responsibility of communion with God to their pastors or prophets in the church. This is not correct.
 
Just as you cannot ask anyone, “Please help me live,” or “help me eat my food”, you cannot just ask anybody to pray for you without praying yourself. To leave your prayer responsibility in the hands of another person is dangerous. 
 
It amounts to a lack of value for life to delegate your spiritual responsibility to another person. To leave your spiritual responsibilities - prayer, worship, soul winning, etc., in the hands of another person amounts to a lack of value for your own life. The truth is that nobody can pray for you like you. If you do not know how to pray for yourself, it is a major issue if not a calamity. 
 
For instance, if Hannah was waiting for Eli to pray for her, she could have died in barrenness. Prayer, therefore, is not a delegable responsibility.

THE KEY TO DIVINE PROVISION

One of the greatest things that can happen to anyone on earth is to be guided by God. There are many untold and unnecessary hardships that many Christians have suffered due to the negligence of Divine direction.

Now, what do we gain from being directed by God?

One of the gains of Divine direction is supernatural supplies.
It was Divine direction that led Peter to the mouth of the particular fish in the particular sea that had the coin he needed (Matthew 17:25). It was Divine direction that led Elijah to the Brook Cherith to drink of the water and also to the widow of Zarephath where he was sustained until the famine was over (1 Kings 17:27).

Divine direction is key to Divine provision. What belongs to you is not everywhere; it is somewhere. What belongs to you is not in every place but in a particular place. This is why Divine direction is necessary.

The magicians of Egypt tried but could not give the interpretations of Pharaoh’s dreams, but Joseph was able to do it. In other words, he did it better than anyone else.

For anybody to see victories in the public, he must pray in the private or closet. Before Elijah came out to speak to Ahab, he already settled the matter in the closet (1 Kings 17:1). You must travail in the closet in order to prevail in public. You must travail in prayers in the closet in order to prevail in victory in the public. The depth of your inner life determines the height of your outer life.

The reason why you need godly character is because your character determines your destiny in this world and in the world to come. Cain was a bitter person; it was the character of bitterness and hatred that led him to kill his brother. At the end of the day, God placed a curse upon Cain that made him a vagabond and fugitive on the earth. 
 
Observe the life of Esau; his flesh controlled him. He had a character that was dominated by fleshly appetite. The outcome of Esau was that his birthright was sold, his blessing was gone, and he has no memorial on the face of the earth today. 
 
Character indeed determines destiny, both in this world and in the world to come.

So, right living equals Divine favour. To be upright is to be right up. Anyone who is playing with ungodly lifestyle is toying with disfavour.

Anyone who favours the Kingdom of God in order to enlarge it by winning souls and contributing financially to the physical enlargement of the Kingdom can never escape favour.
 
God shall arise and favour His servants because they are interested in the enlargement of His project on earth.
 
Personally, I have never begged anyone for favour in my life because Kingdom investment has been my practice.

It has been established that prayer changes the identity, personality and destiny of a man. When a man decides to engage God at the place of prayer, his identity is changed. Therefore, prayer is the identity-changing factor 
 
One man whose destiny was changed by prayer was Jacob. He was a supplanter, deceiver or fraudster. However, one night he was praying and encountered the Lord, and the Lord asked what his name was. He said his name was ‘Jacob.’ And the Lord said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob but Israel. And from today, you are no longer a person, you are a nation.” (Genesis 32:28 paraphrased). You know, Jacob is a person but Israel is a nation.
 
Jabez had a similar experience of a change of identity and transformation of destiny. He struggled with the issue of a negative (sorrowful) identity. As a result of that, in the First Book of Chronicles Chapter Four and in Verse Ten, he prayed a prayer for a change of story and God granted him that which he asked for.

Obstacles, difficulties and challenges abound in our daily living. The storm of life normally rises when you want to take steps to cross over to the other side of destiny.

Prophetic direction is one way of surmounting obstacles and oppositions in life.
When the children of Israel confronted the River Jordan, God gave them a strategy to cross over. In Joshua 3:13, the priests were to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord ahead while the children of Israel were to follow them. As soon as the feet of the priests stepped into the River Jordan, the waters parted. 
 
It was a prophetic direction that also brought down the wall of Jericho (Judges 6:10).
 
So, if you can locate and follow the footsteps of a genuine prophet or spiritual father that God has placed over you, then, you have no ‘River Jordan’ or ‘Jericho Wall’ to fear.

This is why God will not hold a person responsible for what another person did or failed to do with his or her talent. The experience of the children of Israel on their way to the Promised Land portrays this. They were confronted with many obstacles like the Red sea, the River Jordan, the wall of Jericho, the Anakims who were the giants in the land, etc. (Joshua 11:24).  
 
Suffice it then to say that there is no Promised Land without giants. If God has ever given you a promise, there are giants to confront and contend with. But what matters is not the presence of the giants but the victory we will have at the end. 
 
What then is the secret of handling obstacles on our journey of life?

Favour places one in authority and influence. 
 
Divine favour gives people access to the high places and palaces of the earth. Divine Favour was at work in the life of Joseph in the house of Potiphar who made him the overseer of his house. God also gave Joseph favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison and he was placed in authority by virtue of Divine favour.
 
Divine favour was equally behind the enthronement of Queen Esther (Esther 2:15-17). The King favoured her and made her the queen because divine favour was at work in her life.
 
When Divine favour is on a person’s life, it delivers him from the pit and takes him to the top. Divine favour gives a person access to the high places of life.

THE PRACTICE OF LOVE

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To show love with a smile brings an instant harvest.

Our God is the God of Love. When He loves, He only exhibits His nature.

If we are created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27), we need to love people like God.

The practice of love releases the character of love. According to our anchor scripture, the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts. What are we expected to do with this love of God in our hearts? Practice it! Release it!

To practice love is to contribute to the joy of people around you. Commend people whenever you see them.

Another way of releasing this love is to intercede for people, especially people who hate you. In Job 42:10, the Bible says, ‘And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends...’ His friends were those who had resisted and accused him.

Nothing produces excellence like exercise. To excel, you must exercise. Practice makes perfect. When you determine, for example, to wake up in the morning and pray for someone, you are practicing love. To show love with a smile brings an instant harvest.

THE NECESSITY OF REVIVAL

SCRIPTURE: And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. – Genesis 32:30

Revival is a season of spiritual awakening, intensive spiritual activity and spiritual fire. It is the climate of heaven on earth. Revival also means back to Bethel. In Genesis 35:1, God told Jacob to arise and go up to Bethel and build an altar unto the LORD. The experience of revival is like someone who lost his passion for God but encountered Him afresh thereby igniting his first love for God.

Revival is necessary for the arrest of satanic lawlessness. As we know, Satan is absolutely lawless and he must be checked. The truth is, nothing arrests darkness like the deployment of light. So, it is revival that will answer the generational epidemic of satanic activities, occultism and terrorism. 

Also, revival gives a person a life time transformation. Jacob had an intense spiritual encounter with God and his life changed forever (Genesis 32:24). He was Jacob but by the time God was through with him, his name was changed forever; that encounter gave birth to a nation (Israel).

Beloved, I see you experience a revival that will turn your life around, in Jesus’ Name.

RESPONSIBILITY - A DOORWAY TO POSSIBILITIES

SCRIPTURE: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. – Proverbs 22:29

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is responsibility that unlocks possibility. 

Responsibility is existence with tireless pursuit of goal and vision. It has been confirmed that nothing can be glorious until someone is serious. It is responsibility that unlocks possibility. If you must stand out in life, if you must break forth on every side, you must be ready to take up certain responsibilities. 

Now, what are the products of taking responsibilities?

1. Responsibility is the doorway to possibilities. 

If you see anyone who is seeing many possibilities; it is not luck, it’s responsibility. Exploits do not belong to the weak; it is emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically strong people that do exploits in life (Daniel 11:32). 

2. Responsibility is the doorway to authority. (Proverbs 22:29). 

It was former British Prime Minister, Wilson Churchill who said, “Responsibility is the price of greatness.” If greatness is your desire, then responsibility is the price to pay.

3. Responsibility unveils ability; it pushes out potential.

You do not know what you can do until you begin to do what you have not done before. You do not know your full potential until you stretch yourself. It is elasticity that confirms ability.

Remember this: it is responsibility that unlocks possibility.

I noticed that the quality of a person’s life is determined by the quality of his thought and the limit of his thought is what defines the limit of his life. Also, the direction of your thought determines the direction of life.

1. Life is a gift that must be used to the pleasure of the Giver (God).    
2. Life is a privilege that must be lived in gratitude and should not be taken for granted.
3. Life is a responsibility that must be accepted. 
4. Life is a seed that must be sown for the benefit of both humanity and divinity. Anything you do with your life, either negative or positive, you are sowing a seed. Therefore, living is seeding.
5. Life is a trust given to you by God. One day, you shall stand before God to give account of the life He gave you on trust.

In my University days, a young man who stayed in the same room with me came back one day reporting that he was beaten up by bad boys while preaching in a pub around the school hostel. So, I followed him to the place and cursed the place and everything in it. After a short time, the pub was closed down and subsequently, no business could thrive there. A lady went there to start up a business, and when it could not function, they told her, “There is a man by name Paul Enenche who cursed the place when he was a student here. If she your business to function there, go and meet him to reverse the curse.” The lady came to me and the curse was reversed.
 
Imagine that! A place was shaken and reordered by one declaration against an ungodly activity. Anywhere there is a shaking, things cannot continue the way they have been.
 
Beloved, you have been chosen by God to shake and reorder your generation by prayer, aggressive evangelism, impact, etc. So, do not sit down and watch things go wrong.

I have realized that the quality of a person’s life is determined by the quality of his thought. The limit of a person’s thought is what defines the limit of his life. Also, the deeper your thought, the better your life.
 
The truth is, the world minds those who maximize their minds. There are some people who speak and people say, “Don’t mind him”. That is the confirmation of shallow thought!
 
One of the major challenges of our generation is the challenge of thoughtlessness, especially among the youths. People wake up daily and proceed through life without putting their minds to work, so, they end anyhow.
 
Thoughtlessness is the reason for aimlessness and aimlessness is the mother of uselessness in life. The direction of thought determines the direction of life. Anywhere a man’s thought is directed, his life is also pulled in that direction. Hence, negative thought equals negative life and positive thought equals positive life.
A blank mind is the reason for a blank life. When the heart is empty, life is empty.
 
So, fill your heart and life with positive thoughts and your destiny will not be void of substance.

The Anointing is the embodiment of the Spirit of God on a person. It is also God’s ability on a man that makes him do the extraordinary with ease.
 
The truth is it is possible to be talented and gifted yet bankrupt of the Anointing. Any talent that is devoid of the Anointing ends in struggle and frustration.
 
The power of the Anointing forbids nominal or ordinary existence. You cannot be anointed with the power of God and be ordinary. The Anointing imparts on you the restlessness to humiliate the devil and his agents. It baptizes you with the ability to hew and ruin the works of darkness.
