THE MANIFESTATION OF WISDOM

SCRIPTURE: Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom and with all thy getting, get understanding. – Proverbs 4:7
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Wisdom helps us to reason out solution and answers. 
 
One notable character in the Bible who is synonymous with wisdom was Solomon. God gave him great wisdom through which he did great exploits in his days. Through his wisdom, he was able to solve the complicated dispute between two prostitutes over the ownership of a living child. 
 
How then do we manifest Divine wisdom? 
 
Wisdom is manifested by the capacity of rational, analytical and logical reasoning.
 

When wisdom is at work, it helps you to have rational, analytical and logical reasoning that will make you arrive at the best option within a given set of alternatives. Before King Solomon gave any judgement, he must have rationalized and analysed many things. This is how wisdom operates.

This means that unwise people are irrational and illogical; they do not put their minds to work. Unwise people act before they think. Wisdom, therefore, helps us to reason out solution and answers. Thus every spiritually wise person is an anointed thinker given to depths of thought.

In Acts 10:19, it is clear that as Peter meditated on the vision he saw, he connected with God’s voice. So, spiritually wise people have a wide thinking capacity. Unwise people on the other hand are mindless.

Remember this: wisdom helps us to reason out solution and answers.

THE WORKS OF GRACE

SCRIPTURE: Having then gift differing according to the grace that is giving to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith.  – Romans 12:6
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be graceless is to be powerless.
 
The grace of God is a distinguishing factor in life and destiny. It has been observed that the difference between two children of God is the dimension of grace they operate in. For instance, Apostle Paul who was a late comer went ahead of the other disciples who were with Jesus, on the frequency of Grace.
What then is Grace?

Grace is GOD’S RICHES AT CHRIST’S EXPENSE. Grace can also be seen as unmerited favour.

Now, what is the work of Grace?

1. Grace unlocks gifts and potentials.

When a man is said to be highly en-graced, it means he is highly gifted. Grace unlocks a man’s gifts, potentials and talents. Grace has the capacity to pull out the gifts of God in you.

2. Grace is the fuel of power.

When Grace flows in a man’s life, power flows. In Acts 4:33, the Bible says, ‘And with great power gave the apostles power of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and great grace was upon them.’ The level of grace you carry determines the level of power you walk in. Therefore, to be graceless is to be powerless.

Remember this: To be graceless is to be powerless.

1. Make demands on the Grace of God in all your daily activities.
2. Pursue the Grace of God in all areas of life.

UNDERSTANDING DIVINE WISDOM

SCRIPTURE: “And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged and they feared the king for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to do judgment”.  – 1 Kings 3:28
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Wisdom is behind outstanding existence.
 
The importance of wisdom to destiny fulfilment cannot be overemphasized.  Wisdom is behind outstanding existence. No wonder the scripture makes it clear that wisdom is the principal thing. (Proverbs 4:7)
 
Wisdom is defined as the ability to show Divine judgment in practical situations of life.
 

We can see this in the life of Solomon who delivered a landmark judgement to two prostitutes. The two prostitutes were quarrelling over a baby. One of them slept on her baby, killed it, and replaced it with the live baby of the other. Now, when the other woman whose baby she took woke up and discovered what she did, both of them began to struggle over the right ownership of the live baby.

Solomon, in judgement, demanded that the living baby be cut into two equal halves and shared among the two women. The woman whose baby died agreed with the suggestion but the other woman told the king not to slay the baby, but give it to her rival instead. Thus Solomon was able to know that the real owner of the baby was the woman who refused to have it killed, so he handed the baby over to her.

That was land mark wisdom in operation. That kind of wisdom is coming on you today in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Wisdom is behind outstanding existence.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God for an outstanding wisdom in life.
2. Study the life of men of wisdom like Solomon, David, Daniel, etc., to learn about Divine wisdom.

THE IMPORTANCE OF JOY AND MERRIMENT

SCRIPTURE: And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him – Genesis 32:24-28
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The atmosphere of Joy transmits healing because joy attracts God’s Presence. 
 
It has been established that the atmosphere of God’s Presence is the atmosphere of joy, jubilance and merriment. That is why people become depressed when they neglect the atmosphere of God’s Presence. If you want to overcome depression, crave for the Presence of God.
 
Praise and worship provokes the Presence of God. People who are given to praising God are carriers of His Presence.
 
Now, what is the importance of joy and merriment?
 
1) Joy is therapeutic and medicinal (Proverbs 17:22).
 
Joy usually accompanies praise and worship. This joy, in turn, supplies medicine to the body. The atmosphere of joy, therefore, transmits healing because joy attracts the Presence of God. 
 
The Presence of God has nothing to do with sorrow and depression. Depression, therefore, is the devil’s key of disconnection from God’s Presence. 
 
Praise escalates joy which invites God and when God steps in, healing takes place.
 
2) Praise connects the saints with the benefits of redemption.
 
The flow of joy triggers the release of God’s goodness encapsulated in the redemption package. 
 
Beloved, every root of depression, dryness and sickness is uprooted out of your life today. You shall live in perpetual joy and celebration in the Name of Jesus.
 
Remember this: The atmosphere of Joy transmits healing because joy attracts the Presence of God.

THE PRESERVING FORCE OF GOD'S POWER

SCRIPTURE: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Luke 10:19.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Wherever defeat is being experienced, it is a result of power shortage. 

Power is key to victory in the battles of life. Power makes peace (safety) to be established by force. Note this: wherever defeat is being experienced, it is a result of power shortage; it is either power is absent or in short supply.

What then are the power channels that make preservation possible?

1. The Power of His Presence (Psalms 91:1) 

The Presence of the Almighty carries the security of the Almighty. A person who approaches Jehovah must experience the ministry of His security guards.

2. The Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ (Revelations 12:11)

The Blood of Jesus communicates the great exchange: Jesus died young so we can live long. They put our sickness on His Body so we can live in health.

So, whenever you make demands on the Blood of Jesus, you have to know that you are telling the devil, “Look at the Blood that was shed for my survival, freedom, health, victory, etc.”

I speak into your life today, by the power in the Blood of Jesus; you shall not die before your time, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Wherever defeat is being experienced, it is a result of power shortage.

THE REVIVAL MANTLE

SCRIPTURE: For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers… - Acts 13:36

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A person carrying a revival mantle is like a mobile hurricane. 

Several years ago, there was a revivalist called Maria Woodworth-Etter. She made so much impact in her time; she used to minister and people would fall under power within 50km radius from where she stood ministering.

One day, a man came to one of her meetings and started mimicking what she used to do while ministering. So, she turned to the man and said, 'Stand there!' Instantly, he was pinned to one spot and his speech was suspended for about 24 hours. When he learnt his lesson, she released him. 

Now, what could be behind such an operation? It is called a Revival Mantle.

A revival mantle is characterized by Judgmental Operations. A person carrying a revival mantle is like a mobile hurricane.

The revival mantle is also the mantle of generational revolution. It produces total transmogrification. That was what happened in England in the days of John Wesley where he moved by the power of the mantle and the spirit of alcoholism that held sway in that land was broken. Without this mantle, ministries, communities and families cannot experience change.

I prophesy into your life today, receive the mantle of revival to judge your enemies and produce drastic change in your family, community, and in your nation in the Name of Jesus.

PASSION - A PATHWAY TO VISION

Vision is the revelation of God’s plan for a person’s life. It is important to know that it is only vision that can lead a person to his destiny.
 
Now, we are going to explore HEART’S PASSION as one of the pathways to arriving at one’s vision for life.
 
Passion of heart is a clue to the purpose of life. It is a foundation for vision. From our anchor scripture, we see that Moses’ passion for his brethren’s freedom from slavery was what fuelled his drive and influenced his vision as a deliverer. Whenever something has become your passion, especially God-given passion, it almost inevitably becomes your vision.
 
Passion could be a problem that a person is yearning to solve. Your passion is what will not leave your heart alone until it is settled. Whatever is a passion in your heart is connected to the purpose of your life.
 
Note this: your passion is your vehicle to your portion in life. If you drive in the vehicle of passion, you can reach your portion in life. That is why passionless people are actually portion-less people. When you see a person that is passionate about nothing, living a life of passivity and neutrality, such a person literally has no portion or possession in life and destiny.
 
Remember this: Your passion is your vehicle to your portion in life. 
 
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Renew your mind daily with the Word of God for a sound mind.
2. Identify the areas of life you are passionate about and tenaciously pursue it.

FUNCTIONING - THE CURE FOR AFFLICTION

SCRIPTURE: “By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through”  - Ecclesiastics 10:18.
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A life that is dynamic is a life that is energetic. 
 
Function in this context simply means, a task. To function, therefore, is to be active in service. We understand from our anchor Scripture that slothfulness causes a building to decay. The building, in this context refers to our body. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19a,   “know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost…” That is to say, the body is the building (temple) of the Holy Ghost.    
 
By implication, when the body is deficient in function or work, it is prone to affliction. Any life that is not dynamic becomes problematic. Dynamism is necessary for the vitality of life. A life that is dynamic is a life that is energetic. 
 
This is why some people begin to look older than their age after retiring from active service. Some of them even begin to complain of all manner of sicknesses, ranging from hypertension to stroke, because their physical bodies have not been engaged. 
 
Beloved, anything that expels you from functioning has exposed you to affliction. Never be comfortable with idleness because idleness of the body attracts affliction to the body, but that shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.  
 
Remember this: a life that is dynamic is a life that is energetic.

1. Keep off from anything or anybody that wants to stop you from functioning. 
2. Determine to be fully engaged.

GIVING IS LIVING

Giving, simply is the act of releasing to someone that which you own. It may interest you to know that, giving is living; and quality giving equals quality living. You have not started living until you have started giving. The quality of your life is measured by the quantity and quality of your donation to humanity. You may be a rich man in the eyes of people but as long as no one is feeling the impact of your wealth, you are a poor man with some money. 
 
In Acts 14:19-20, when Paul the apostle was stoned and dragged out of the city as being dead, those he had impacted surrounded him until he got up. The meaning is, those whose lives he had touched, touched his life when he had almost died. What you sow does not go away, but gives you a way. Those you impact in times of progress are those who may impact you in times of problems.
 
Beloved, to live for self is to live for less and a life of self is a life on the shelf. You should not just exist for consumption, rather, exist for contribution. You have to exist for donation rather than for decoration. If you exist for consumption rather than contribution, then your existence is a waste. 
 
Remember this: to live for self is to live for less; a life of self is a life on the shelf.
 
ASSIGNMENT(S):

2. Do not wait until you have billions in your bank account before beginning to give – start giving from what you have.

It has been established that the most valuable life is a life that adds values to other people’s lives. You have not started living until someone’s rise is connected to you. True satisfaction in life is not in your material possessions but in the number of lives you have positively affected.
 
Let me share with you an encounter: Sometime ago I met a classmate of mine who graduated with me many years ago. I was surprised to discover that he was not yet married as at the time we met. When I asked him what happened, he said that he had fixed his wedding date for that year but did not get the money he was expecting, so he postponed the wedding till further notice. I was highly touched! How could such a mature man remain unmarried for this long?  I told him to re-fix the wedding date and let me know the bill. Later on, I also started making arrangements for him to be profitably engaged in what will generate income in order to be able to fend for his family.
 
The tragedy is that there are people who will see such persons and turn a deaf ear on their plights.
 
Beloved, eliminating the frustrations, confrontations and battles of others is living life to the full.
 
Remember this: You have not started living until someone’s rise is connected to you.
 
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Look for someone who you can impact positively within your capacity this week. 
2. Determine to lighten the burden of those who come in contact with you.

THE THERAPY FOR MEDIOCRITY

Excellence connotes the condition of being outstanding and superior. It is the quality of being extremely good, while mediocrity on the other hand is an average existence.  
 
From our anchor scripture, we see that the major secret that made Daniel stand out even in a strange land was the delivery of excellence in his assignment.
 
Beloved, shun mediocrity, do not give out nothing short of your best; be known for excellent deliveries. If it is not to be done excellently, it must be left totally. 
 
The fact is, nothing can be glorious until somebody is serious. Nothing can be excellent until somebody deploys excellence.
 
Now, what are the products of Excellence?
 
1. Excellence brings audience:
When you are excellent, people are forced or compelled to listen to you when you speak. 
 
2. Excellence brings eminence and prominence: 
People of excellence are eminently prominent people.
 
3. Excellence attracts abundance.
You cannot be excellent and end as a pauper. To be a mediocre person is to be buried in obscurity.
 
Thus, to escape mediocrity, you must embrace excellence.
 
Remember this: Nothing can be glorious until somebody is serious.

THE BOSSY MENTALITY

SCRIPTURE:  “And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward” – Genesis 40:4 (KJV)
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Do not struggle for titles; struggle for the task. There is no entitlement in titles.
 
The bossy mentality in this context is the mentality given to pomposity and braggadocios existence; it is the mentality that makes a person feels too big to serve.
 
From our anchor scripture, we see Joseph had the right to ‘boss over’ the other prisoners including the butler and the baker (whose dreams he later interpreted), rather he served them.
 
Beloved, you must refuse the bossy mentality to avoid a crash of destiny. It was Bishop Abioye who said “To act like a boss is to end in the box”. The struggle for status many times is the reason for a bossy lifestyle. To have an impactful destiny, never struggle for status, struggle to serve. Do not struggle for titles; struggle for the task.  There is no entitlement in titles.
 
Now, here is an analogy: if a wheelbarrow pusher enters a theatre wearing a laboratory coat with a stethoscope intending to perform a surgery, would he be able to perform the task successfully? No!  That is murder waiting to happen!
 
The truth is: any title that is bankrupt of function has no future.  When you go after function, position will come after you. 
 
Thus, the ‘boss mentality’ is a limiting mentality. It is a mentality that seeks to use, mis-value and undervalue people. Such mentality has no future either with God or with people.
 
Remember this: Do not struggle for titles; struggle for the task. There is no entitlement in titles.
 
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Repent of any bossy lifestyle exhibited in time past. 
2. Decide to humble yourself to serve.

THE MANIFESTATION OF WISDOM

SCRIPTURE: A man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine and the boldness of his countenance shall be changed.” – Ecclesiastes 8:1b.
 
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Behind every outstanding life in the Kingdom is the wisdom of God.
 
Supernatural wisdom is a major secret of shining in life.  Behind every outstanding life in the Kingdom of God is the wisdom of God. When God gives you wisdom, you will stand out in life. 
 
What then are the manifestations of wisdom?
 
1. Wisdom is manifested by the ability to arrive at the right conclusions in the face of situations in life. 
 
The difference between the successful and the failure most times is in their conclusions in situations. Your conclusions determine your actions and your actions determine your outcome.

Wise people have value for their future to the point of investing in their future. BEARING FRUITS FOR THE KINGDOM

Every child of God is called to be productive and reproductive. There is a demand on us not just to reproduce ourselves physically, but also spiritually. When you surrender your life as a seed, fruits come out of your life (John 4:36). Your Christianity has not yet been confirmed genuine until someone has started going to Church and serving God genuinely because of you. 
 
Bearing fruits for the Kingdom means living to affect the eternal destinies of men by redirecting them from the prospect of eternity in hell to the possibility of eternity in Heaven. 
 
Rewards of bearing Fruits in the Kingdom:
 
1. Fruit Bearing attracts the workmanship of God in the life of the fruitful.
If you are winning souls and populating the Kingdom, the Bible says, ‘… every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth….’ To purge here means removing from your life whatever does not belong to your system that is a distraction to your fruit bearing. If you want Jehovah to be your workman, make fruit bearing your priority. 
 
2. Spiritual impact brings spiritual authority.
When the disciples came back from the assignment of soul winning, they connected power (Luke 10:17-19). Assignment brings authority, working for God empowers you to deal with the enemy.

PRAISE IN THE MORNING

It is a great thing to praise God at all times. From the background story of our anchor Scripture, we see the results of praising God early in the morning. When the children of Israel were surrounded with the armies of three nations in battle, they began to praise God and the outcome was victory for them over their enemies. 
 
What is the Impact of Praise in the Morning?
1. Praise in the morning provokes Divine intervention in the midst of battle.
2. It sets confusion in the camp of the enemy. 
3. It puts the enemy into fights against each other. When they come to fight you, they will suddenly begin to fight each other.
4. It guarantees the total elimination of the forces of the enemy. 
5. Praise turns your battlefield to your harvest field. At times, when the Lord wants to bless you, He will allow some people to try to fight you so you can possess their possessions. 
 
God is about to step into your battle today and set confusion in the camp of the enemy like they have never seen before. The place of your battle shall become the place of your blessing in Jesus’ Name.

The world today is populated with about 7 billion people. But the tragedy is that out of these, about 3 billion people have not heard about the Name, JESUS or about His second coming. That is quite alarming!
 
Sometime ago God’s servant, Morris Cerrulo went to Haiti, a country that is infested with voodoo. He went to a shop to buy Coca Cola drink and in the process asked the seller whether he had heard of Jesus Christ. To his surprise, the man replied ‘What is Jesus? Is it a new brand of soft drink? If Jesus is a soft drink, it has not reached here’. So, the man of God dropped his Coca Cola bottle and began to weep because in that part of the world, Coca Cola has more popularity than Jesus Christ. 
 
Beloved, there are precious souls on their way to hell fire because they have been separated from God; there is no salvation without Jesus. If many precious human souls continue to remain disconnected from Jesus and the gospel of salvation, then it means they are on their way to hell fire. 
 
Now, your duty in the salvation of men is engaging in aggressive evangelism. You are the agent of transformation God has sent to evangelize the world.

It has been established that character is a non-negotiable requirement for the fulfilment of destiny. Men of character are men of destiny. One prominent personality of character in the Bible is Daniel. He was a young man who was taken as a captive along with the other children of Israel to Babylon for seventy years. He rose to a position of the first vice president in Babylon. His relevance spanned through the reign of four kings: Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Darius and Cyrus. 
 
Now, what vital lesson can we learn from the life of Daniel?
 
A person’s destiny is not determined by his locality but by his or her spirituality.  Daniel fulfilled his destiny as a slave in a foreign land, and not his homeland, because of his spirituality. So, where you live is not what determines what you become. Who you are spiritually is what determines what you become physically. For example, that you are in Nigeria does not mean that you will fail, and that you are in America does not mean that you will succeed; your failure or success depends on your character, attitude and spirituality. 
 
I decree a baptism of solid spirituality in your life in Jesus’ Name.

FACTS ABOUT SERVICE

It is confirmed from our anchor scripture that God is in search of servants; He is looking for true servants. Serving God is the greatest privilege a man can ever have on Earth. It is indeed an honour to be called God’s servant.
 
I will like to itemise two key thoughts on service to God.
 
1. Power is the product of service to God.
The power of God is in search of servants of God. God found David and anointed him because he was God’s servant. Any power you are looking for to fulfil the call of God on your life can be available to you through service. Other people look for power from God but the power of God looks for the servants of God.  
 
Servants of God are powerful people. Until a man is confirmed to be a servant, he is not qualified for power. Lack of dedicated service is a reason for the powerlessness of many Christians. 
 
2. Your service to God determines your satisfaction in this life and in the life to come.  
When a person is not given to the service of God, he will never see true satisfaction in life; such a person will be inevitably frustrated. That shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name. 
 
Remember this: The lack of dedicated service is a reason for the powerlessness of many Christians.

When he arrived and heard how Goliath was defying the army of Israel, he became angry and decided to confront him in order to save the Name of the LORD and take the reproach from Israel. 
 
Then he asked, ‘…What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? (1 Samuel 17:26). His brother Eliab became furious against him. But David told him, ‘…what have I done? Is there not a cause?’ In other words, he seemed to have said, ‘There is a reason why I came to the battle ground.’ 
 
Beloved, there is a reason you are living.
 
Vast multitudes of people in the world are in need and you are living to meet their needs. There are people that cannot be saved except they hear the Gospel; and they cannot hear except someone preaches to them. That is the reason you are living – to take the Gospel of Christ to the ends of the earth.
