SCRIPTURE: “But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary” – Matthew 14:24
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Resistance is not refusal; if you do not give up, you will go up.
The disciples of Jesus were meant to cross over to the other side within 30 minutes, but they used about 9 hours because a storm delayed them. However, the most important thing is, despite the delay, they reached their destination.
Your expectation may be delayed but your destination cannot be denied. If God gives you a promise, the devil may resist it but it must come to pass. If God says that this year you will get married, have your baby, etc., the devil may try to resist that promise but he cannot abort it. For Abraham and his wife, God promised to make them a great nation at age 75 and 65 respectively, but they waited until Abraham became 100 years and his wife 90 before having a child (Genesis 15:4, 21:2).
Beloved, that you have been delayed does not mean you have been denied. Resistance is not refusal; if you do not give up, you will go up. That great thing God said concerning your destiny may be experiencing some delay right now, but the good news is: that you have not yet achieved it does not mean you cannot achieve it. You shall surely achieve it in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Resistance is not refusal; if you do not give up, you will go up.
