SCRIPTURE: His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. – Matthew 25:21
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faithful people do not struggle to be blessed; blessings struggle for them.
From our anchor scripture, we understand that faithfulness is the key to fruitfulness in life. God does not promote the unfaithful. Many people wonder why they have remained at the same spot for many years. Unknown to such people however, faithfulness may be lacking in their lives.
What then is the meaning of faithfulness?
1. Faithfulness means absolute commitment. When a person is faithful to God or faithful to duty, there is an absoluteness of commitment; a commitment that does not waver (Daniel 3:17-18).
2. Faithfulness means consistency of character. When a person is said to be faithful in Church, it means he is always there on time.
3. Faithfulness means trustworthiness or dependability. When a person is described as faithful, it means God, his employer or spouse can trust him.
4. Faithfulness means performing according to expectation. When a person is described as a faithful worker, it means that the person performs his duty according to expectation. As a matter of fact, a truly faithful person will even exceed your expectations; they will go beyond what is expected of them. Faithful people do not struggle to be blessed; blessings struggle for them.
Remember this: Faithful people do not struggle to be blessed; blessings struggle for them
