PRAYER AND WISDOM

SCRIPTURE: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  – James 1:5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When a person gets access to the Ways of God, he begins to fly on the highways of life.

The place of prayer has been confirmed as the place of wisdom. An encounter with the All-wise God at the place of prayer is an encounter with the wisdom of creation. Solomon was the wisest and wealthiest man in his generation and he received his wisdom at the place of prayer (2 Chronicles 1:7). People of prayer, therefore, are people of wisdom.

Now, what is Wisdom?

1. Wisdom is insight into the Ways of God (Psalms 103:7). When this happens, a person begins to fly on the highways of life.

2. Wisdom means understanding what it takes to move from where you are to where you need to be.

3. Wisdom is being in possession of direction and provision of leadership for your generation.

4. Wisdom is access to light and the hidden secrets of God.

How then do you receive wisdom?
1. By reading the Word.
2. By studying the Word.
3. By listening to the Word.
4. Through anointed tapes and books.
5. By a flash of inspiration.
6. By anointed thoughts/imaginations.

Note: God only releases wisdom to men who are given to action. God will not give you any direction if you will not do anything about it.

Remember this: When a person gets access to the Ways of God, he begins to fly on the highways of life.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Seek to know God above every other knowledge of life.
2. Demand for wisdom from God on a daily basis.

PRAYER: O Lord, baptize me with Your Wisdom. I need it in every area of my life. I ask for forgiveness for every act of foolishness I have displayed in the past. Thank You Lord for wisdom in Jesus’ Name.

Because hot objects generally expand, the sun would explode like a giant bomb if it weren’t for its enormous gravitational force.
