GOD'S PERSPECTIVE OF KINGDOM SERVICE

SCRIPTURE: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. – Isaiah 6:8

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The effort of man is not as important as the effect of man.

Isaiah was a major prophet in the Bible who was recognized as a mouth piece of God. However, God began to look for someone else to send while Isaiah was still speaking for God. What a tragedy!

In the same way, there are many people labouring for God today and God seems to be looking for another person to do what they are doing.

Five facts we can learn from the story of Isaiah are:

1) There are many people in kingdom service but God is still looking for people to send.

2) There are many people in kingdom service but God is not aware that they are there.

3) Not every labour in the kingdom is acceptable by God. If labour is not acceptable, it is not rewardable. If labour is not acceptable, it is wasted.

4) The effort of man is not as important as the effect of man in kingdom service.

5) What men think about your labour is not as important as what God thinks about your labour.

Beloved, make up your mind not to engage in a wasted labour; labour with all your heart, time and resources.

Remember this: The effort of man is not as important as the effect of man.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Make up your mind to labour with the whole of your heart.

2. Work for God with a pure heart and right motive.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to labour acceptably for You. Remove every stain in my life that will disqualify my life and work for You, in Jesus’ Name.
